hello and welcome this video is for anyone who is looking to start an llc in michigan the first step in starting an llc is figuring out the proper name that you want so let's try something simple here let's do abc and see what may be available with that all right we have abc at the top abc101 abc10 so you could possibly just do abc102 abc1023 so as long as you add something onto it that does not show there your name should go through and once you do figure out the name that you're looking to use you would then go to the file systems to file your articles of organization and it is the first option right here domestic limited liability company and click on that the name you put right here on this line make sure you put llc at the end of it these articles are if you want to modify them but you don't have to fill any of this out if you do not want to and then if you want to be the registered agent for your llc you put the name your name and address right here and as long as this is the address that you're looking to receive mail at you do not need to fill this out and same with this down here if you don't want to modify it at all you do not have to put anything right here and then you'll want to sign it nate your name and then you're the organizer accept and click add usually there's no special instructions you need to give it's pretty straightforward and just finish filling out right here and always make sure to include an email if you're doing it online that way you can get a rejection notice sent to you if it does get rejected and it also will send you the pin to control your llc's name online and you'll want to select the standard review and then you'll click review i didn't fill it out so nothing will work for me right now but that is the process it'll take you to a payment page and then you will make a fifty dollar payment and if all is good they will send you your articles of organization

Thanks for your comment Kali Richardville, have a nice day.

hi I'm Jordan Hansen and I'm here talking wait I'm from Cobalt intelligence and I'm here talking about Secretary of State stuff web scraping but today we're going to focus on Michigan the state of Michigan and the Secretary of State data that you can find there now the secretary of state is where you register your business and as a result that information well not as a result okay fine that information is public and because it's public so now I say as a result as a result you can get that data and find the information on businesses now if you're here you probably know this already and you just want to find out a good way to verify a business you want to say hey I want to make sure this business is indeed who they say they are I didn't get proper legal name all of that information so let's go to Michigan we're going to talk about that we're going to talk about how to do it manually if you're searching and then we're going to go through how to use if you want to get the data in automated fashion we're going to show you how to get a via API with our portal with Postman so you can requests how you want them or if a job if you're a JavaScript user with the SDK so here the Michigan fields we have available no status in Michigan it may be the only state without status hold on I'm now I'm curious I want to know can I open that let's see I forgot this yes status okay there's a few States four there's five states that don't have it New Jersey Delaware some of Michigan also no status so it's a very Bare Bones no entity no state of formation no industry no officer information no organization documents sorry people if you want data from Michigan stuff can't get much but we're going to show you what it looks like here is the Cobalt intelligence portal oh no this is the no sorry this is Michigan's search website let's go here you can search by a decent amount of things such as individual name and The Entity I'm gonna search for pizza and this looks exactly like Massachusetts which we just did exactly that's so funny they're so close we're gonna go here Pizza one LLC and if I look over here term Perpetual attitude of organization see I don't I have an entity type here I might not returning that data I may have to fix that update What fields we have available this is managed by managers but no managing things there what about yeah this you have to wait hold on maybe we can get documents eventually at some point but in short you can see I don't see a status here do you this see it makes me think there's something in here that says hey I could do a cancellation kind of like Massachusetts Ed but I don't see it yet so anyway there it is all right we're gonna go over here this is the Cobalt intelligence portal we're going to search right here for Pizza one LLC within Michigan and we're gonna see what we can get Michigan should be pretty quick less than 20 seconds and now come on it's coming there we go there's our data entity type we have right there I'm gonna fix that because look I didn't have it okay did I entity type we do have it come on now I'm kind of curious hold on let's look to see do we have a there's definitely no jurisdiction like where it which originally was formed that's okay okay that's it let's go to postman we'll show you how to do it there done okay and then we type in mi so you're gonna want I'm gonna start this off but here's what your url is going to look like you're gonna have this stuff slash B1 search and then in the search query you're gonna put pizza one LLC and the state will be Mi for Michigan and the headers you just have x dash api-key passing your API key and that's how you get this sweet sweet data over here just like that it's Postman now let's go over to the SDK right there okay so the SDK this is how it works you come over here you import the API key this is Javascript by the way import the API key you initialize it with a new new SOS API and you pass in the API key you SOS API dot get business details and you can pass in all the parameters you need such as business name and state required or the other fields live data these are other things you can do with this data and I won't get to all those details right now but you can see the return data I did ask for a screenshot in this one so let's look at that there we go screenshot right there and the URLs cut off for some reason we need to look at that sometimes but you can see here we have the data that we expected this way you can put this in your file and say hey I went to the Secretary of State I confirmed that it was a legitimate business as far as I can tell I can't tell status here but it says it's an entity type at least we can see this and we can see registered registered agent name I don't know I don't know what you'd use this for if there's no status but maybe maybe it's good to verify a business I don't know that's it that's the end for Michigan it looks exactly like Massachusetts and it's okay the fact that it doesn't return all those fields kind of makes me sad but it's a good one I'm Jordan Hansen and this is the end of the video like subscribe do your thing and we are out

Thanks svadljiveB your participation is very much appreciated
