hello everyone and welcome back to the channel shelly's millions i just wanted to make a really quick video to show you all where to find your 1099 g if you received unemployment benefits in 2021 from the california edd the first thing that you're going to want to do is log on to ui online and if it's been a while since you've logged on you may need to reset your password and then you're going to want to select register or manage and you also should receive a hard copy of your 1099 g unless you specifically went in and selected the paperless option after you hit register or manage it's going to bring up all of your claim information from here you're going to want to select payments right up here at the top it says payment activity to request a copy of your federal tax form visit form 1099-g and that's a hyperlink so you're going to click that and then that's going to take you right into your your personal 1099 g for the 2021 tax year and it will have all of the information including the total that you were paid and how much federal income tax has already been withheld that would be from selecting the box to have taxes withheld and of course the california edd was not able to withhold taxes from the extra 300 weekly boost even if you selected that box that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to owe on your taxes this year even without the tax forgiveness everyone's tax situation is so unique that it's hard to say how that will affect your taxes so try not to worry about that too much but your 1099 g is available from the california edd so that you can get a head start on your 2021 taxes all right guys hopefully this answered any questions that you have regarding where to find your california edd form 1099 g that you're going to use to fill out your 2021 taxes if you do have any other questions for me leave them in the comments down below weevil still giving out two free stocks when you use my link in the description down below thank you guys so much for watching shelley's millions i'll see you next time

if you were one of the thousands who were laid off last year you might still need a state tax form to file your taxes but a lot of people are now telling nbc2 they can't get it because of a glitch in the state's unemployment website it is the latest headache facing those of you who lost your jobs many reached out to nbc 2's dave elias to find out what they should do well if you were laid off last year and you need to file your taxes you're going to need one of these but getting it from the state's unemployment website could be difficult turns out there's a little trick you need to know to get it it's been a frustrating two weeks i'd say at least trying to do this deb hansen has tried desperately to get this 1099-g i've gone to the website numerous times and tried to print she's getting caught in a loop brings me back to the previous page i can't get anything to print and she's discovered she's not alone i have other employees you know that i work with that are having the same issues it just sends you back to another page it doesn't give you the 1099g liberty tax preparer joe kluse has tried helping dozens of people the people that are coming in you can see it in their faces there's definitely a need they're you know they're desperate in some cases for for their refunds but without a 1099-g they can't get them you can't file your return legitimately it turns out you need to get into your web browser and turn off the pop-up blocker that should give you access to your 1099-g it's been rough and we have had some success download them online now that trick did work for deb in our story if turning off your pop-up blocker doesn't work for you you can request one online we've put a request form on our news app just click under news links dave elias nbc2
