hi everyone welcome to my new video this is ur today we're going to talk about delaware franchise text i'll be telling what is it and what does it do and also if you ever want to pay your franchises i'll be showing you super simple how you do it so before we get into our video please if you ever finding any value in my videos give me the thumbs up that i need and also subscribe to my channel it's going to help youtube algorithm to put me in front of people like you who are in need to do simple things like this uh for in the state of delivery or any other things in other uh content that i'm procreating anyway so let's let's start first thing first guys what's what's franchise takes it's basically a flat tax that the state is asking from their business owners most of the time it's getting confused with uh the federal income tax return it has nothing to do with that that one is when you have an income you file to to like irs to the whole country but this one is only for the state if you're running a company in the state of delaware you have to pay your franchise tax and it's it's flat and it's annual every year if you did a business or you didn't have a business you have to keep paying this taxes the reason that state is asking this tax is because states is like a like a business as well they have their own expenses and they also have their own you know profits and everything so most of the main reason that this uh texas asks is because for the state all right so and the other thing you have to definitely pay your franchise tax that's it so let's talk about the deadlines and let's talk about when does it start for you to pay this tax when you're liable when you have to start paying the stakes guys after the year that you set your business the following year you have to file your tax let's say that you set your business in 2020 in 2021 is going to be the first year that you're going to pay a franchise tax we will get to know about how you will know if you own anywhere if you don't it's super simple like we're gonna get today before that and also i want to talk about the deadlines all right when is the last time for you to pay for llc's not corporations llcs is the first of june is the deadline of franchise taxes the last date that you have to pay your franchise tax and for corporations is the first of march all right different so what happens let's say another thing what happens that if you don't pay it or if you forget it guys there's a penalty there's a 200 penalty that you have to pay if you didn't pay and in addition to that 200 there's a 1.5 monthly interest on the tax that you own on the amount that you owe to to the state all right another question how much do you pay guys for llc's it's mostly flat if it's a single member llc it's 300 it's been like this for years it the price actually depends on the shareholders in the company but the there's only one way you don't need to like do the calculation or create the things you only have to go and check the website that i will show you and just simply see how much you owe and how much you need to pay all right so guys this is the website that you should go simply we're going to check my company's franchise tax and i'm going to put my own company information here china american enterprises don't get overwhelmed with this you don't have to put both of them you put one of them but if you need to figure out your file number let's say you don't know your file number because we're going to need our file number when we're paying our franchise tech we're going to get in our file number while we're doing this let's put 3d c 4 and the search all right so guys what my company didn't came maybe we didn't put the llc 1 l d j s okay so this is my company here right when i put on like when i click on i'm gonna send the information but this is the file number that i said that we're gonna need while we're paying our franchises so when we came to this uh website of the state there's this button here pay taxes you simply hit that hopefully i copied that i didn't copy that i'm sorry guys i'll have to redo that oops here it is yes this file number we copy that and then hit the pay taxes and this is the website where you pay your franchise it's super simple as you're buying a shoe or buying something simple online so you're gonna put your seven digits file number um you don't need to put this one and r and 9 2 2 p and we hit continue let's try again okay i'm dumb but not that dumb all right don't worry i'm not putting there so my god i own i did not pay my franchise tax i just figured that out how can it be happen like i supposed to pay it i thought i paid it like seriously okay anyways i thought i paid it maybe i skipped it so for 2019 since the if june 1st passed is july 3rd i didn't pay then i'm going to pay 200 penalty with the monthly interest as you can see this is what happens when you skip your franchise tax good example i'm really sorry i i wasn't expecting this usually it has to show zero all right um so i we go click pay taxes okay we're gonna put my business address and everything it's good also we have an example of an actual payment here oh you got you got to choose the credit card here all right and then you're gonna put your credit card information and then we'll be good to go i wasn't expecting this one anyways like this is how you pay it so it was a good example payment receiving summons successfully and after that we're gonna see that it is paid so it was also kind of like surprising shock to me anyways i i i was not gonna show you guys like how you actually paid but i didn't know that i own i didn't pay last year um this is it if you ever liked the video please write down a comment and let me know what you think and don't forget to give me thumbs up and subscribe to my channel i'll see you in my next videos thank you
