hi it's paulette your maryland legacy attorney i want to talk to you about maintaining good standing as a business in maryland in order to maintain good standing it is imperative that you file your proper annual filings you submit any annual reports and that you pay any required fees it is imperative that that you do that so that you can maintain good standing as a business in order to do business with other businesses as well as to be eligible for financial products so if you do not have good standing then it is imperative that you regain good standing and you take some prescribed steps to do that first submit any delinquent annual reports second pay any outstanding fees or cure any return checks third check to see that you have an active resident agent if you don't then include that on your filing fourth if you have a hold with the department of labor or the comptroller's office get that cleared and obtain a clearance letter or a tax clearance letter from them take that tax clearance letter and submit any articles or certificate of revival or reinstatement to the state department of assessments and taxation and ensure that you receive a receipt and you pay any fees that are necessary in order to revive your business once you revive your business ensure that you keep it in good standing it is so imperative that you do so and if you just forget because time passes and you're so busy set an alarm set a reminder on your calendar so that you can do it before it's due and that you will never again be in the posture of being in not being in good standing so i hope this helps you to maintain good standing or to regain good standing for your business so that you can continue to be in good standing and to work well with other businesses thank you
