the good thing about working in construction is that every day is different now for me in the morning i like to come out in the office check some emails do all that kind of stuff before heading out to the field once i head out to the field i like to just get a good feel of what they're working on that day what crews are working that day what the progress is being made and what are they for usually when i come in i sit down do some other quantities that i may not have from the day before and then i go to the concrete plant in order to pick up all that materials that i track i really do enjoy the logging which said no intern ever the tracking because it is tedious and it does take a while but i understand the importance of it and the fact that we have to have every material for everything logged so it's a really great time to develop new talent because we need the help we need the extra help they're not afraid to say something that's wrong and then learn from that which is amazing so i've been working with the estimating department in the corporate office it's way different than you know being out in the field in the sun all day yeah they're two way different aspects of construction and estimating you're you're bidding a project so you're there's a lot of quantities there's a lot of tracking but you also have to be able to build a project in your head the same way you have to go to project here in this job site in your head so there's a bunch of similarities but there's also a bunch of differences i like both honestly i probably like the field a little bit more because there's so much going on throughout the day but they've both been a great experience so far originally i thought i was going to go in the oil field don't know how i ended up doing construction but i fell in love with it last year so i couldn't imagine myself anywhere else now be sharp around sharks always use the right tool for the job one thing that i'll take away of course knowledge but also a safety because all of us here are we're here for a mission we're out here to build a project of course that's great but we also have to remember and recognize why we're doing it and a bunch of the workers here they're doing it because they want to support their families and they want to be there for the families economically and also emotionally and physically so as us as a company we have to make sure that we set the right standards set the right culture and we have to make sure that the workers out in the field in the form and implement those safety guidelines and those safety measures at the end of the day we want to make sure everyone gets home safely with the team by our side it's pretty easy to get done with anything or figure it out together it really it does feel like a family out here and i love working out here the good thing about where i'm working at is everyone's so young but even when you're so young you still have a bunch of responsibilities here the moment you set your foot in the door they trust you to get your job done so if you want to be as exposed as possible to your career field and you want to feel important then i think whoever is the perfect place to come out here and get your career started work-wise i finish putting in my time or any other things that i might have missed throughout the day any little things that they need me to do before i leave and then i hit the road you
Thanks for your comment Roscoe Dafonte, have a nice day.

the scope of the waco project is the full reconstruction from utilities all the way to the bridges for seven miles of ih-35 through waco the total reconstruction of it i mean from the drainage to the roadways to the bridges to the frontage roads to me the most unique thing of this project in particular would be building across the brazos river the way that that was done or being done there's beans on it now but the process of the drill shafts and having to do all that here at the project our safety department faces many unique challenges one of those being is work over waterways like the brazil's river behind me to combat this we generated a site specific safety policy for working over waterways that addresses the safety of our employees of course but also the impact that we have on the environment and also our impact on recreation on the river working with the barges making sure the pig plants with the cranes were adequate and all the challenges that it has working on top of a boat on a barge that's the construction wise that's the most unique thing management wise it's managing 20 25 crews from subcontractors and weber 25 engineers four superintendents and making sure we're all working as a team and making sure that we're all helping each other achieve our milestones our finished dates and making sure everybody is cooperating with the client with the subcontractors and with our crews all the challenge we have the technical office which they help us a lot to combine faces and do whatever we need to do to improve our production on the theme and to see how we can get ahead of the schedule and get our budget close or you know so i think from the technical offering to the engineering services to the equipment department so i mean we got great support on the field i mean and how we keep the communication between different disciplines to make everything work and you know the way we speak and we have those meetings on teams i think it's a great help for the project because we have those meetings at two o'clock and also after that we have our meetings on the field so just to make sure everything is moving well thus far i think we've done a really good job as a team through the end of september we've accomplished an injury rate of 0.74 there's been quite a few people that know that i'm on this job site and when they come through here they've told me that you know every time i go through something's changed they said you know you can notice a change throughout the project you're always either moving traffic or putting them on permanent or you know there's a constant change it doesn't look like it's just sitting still like most construction jobs everybody's going to always have a problem with construction in their traveling public area but it's when they see constant change it sure helps the attitude of the traveling public and people around the job site to you know have a better attitude about things the pressure is there pressure construction is always a pressure business you need to work with it but the schedule the pace the amount of people the size of the job being at the large part largest heartbeat project that weber's doing there's a lot of pressure on it but i think we're taking it good we're working as a very tight team so i think it's going good
